Alexander Dickson, Frank's father-in-law. Alexander and his wife, Isabel, were from the town of Brechin in NE Scotland. They were living there for the 1841 census of Scotland, but by 1850 they had immigrated to Wisconsin. They had moved to Kansas by the time of the 1860 U.S. census. The map is from 1832, four years before they were married.
